Installation Fleet And Family Readiness Director (N9)
CurrentServing over 80 tenant commands as the Installation N9 Director for Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), including a population of over 45,500 service members, DOD civilians, and contractors. NBK is an Echelon IV Command and is considered the third-largest Naval Base of the U.S. Navy. The installation's area of responsibility includes Naval Hospital Bremerton, Naval Station Bremerton, Naval Base Keyport, Fuel Depot Manchester, and Naval Submarine Base Bangor. Direct diverse manpower of 850 Appropriated (APF) and Non-Appropriate (NAF) civilians, contractors, and military personnel. Supervise both directly and indirectly with seven distinct divisions to include: Fleet and Family Services Program (FFSP), including clinical and non-clinical support services, Child and Youth Program (CYP), Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR), PSNS Food Services, Galley Food operations, Privatized Housing Public-Private Venture (PPV), and Unaccompanied Housing (U.H.). Charged with planning and directing FFR programs in a complex environment with full responsibility and authority. Develop strategic mission requirements, objectives, and plans for the execution of these objectives. Evaluate status and development of objectives while providing executive advice and direction. Provide guidance and final decisions on policy matters. Relate a widespread knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices to subordinate elements in effective planning, execution, and review of all FFR programs.
