I think it is so important to love what you do. I was lucky from the start because I joined Stephanie O’Connor at Custom Accounting in Cootamundra straight out of school. I juggled work in the daytime and studied at night via Distance Education through Charles Sturt University. I completed my Bachelor of Business and I’ve been able to build a rewarding and interesting career that challenges me and rewards me in new ways every day. I think it is pretty simple really – if you don’t love what you do how can you deliver a quality service that will continue to engage and delight our clients?I work with a wide range of clients and businesses – farmers, business leaders, retirees; all kinds of people and businesses really – and that’s all part of the challenge and the fun, because everyone has different ambitions and goals and we have to deliver to all of them. I love that part of my career; working closely with clients, understanding and listening carefully and delivering them ideas or answers that they might not have found elsewhere. I find that very rewarding: Seeing how what I do can make a real difference to people’s lives. It also drives my enthusiasm to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.I have grown up in the country and it is where I will stay. Today we live on my husband’s family farm at Illabo and it is a wonderful place to raise our family.
