Director of Marketing and Communications overseeing all aspects of the RepresentUs marketing and communications strategy. I work directly with the Executive team to build a national narrative around key organizational objectives and oversee all external communications for RepresentUs.

I am an experienced content strategist, team leader, and project manager. I leverage growth strategies and digital marketing best practices to inspire Americans to engage with RepresentUs content and join our movement. In this role, I: - Supervise (directly and indirectly) a marketing team of 8 full-time staffers and 5+ contractors- Directly manage all programs under the marketing team umbrella, including organic and paid social media, influencer, video, design, and the RepresentUs website. - Lead all strategic initiatives for the marketing team, overseeing all aspects of yearly and quarterly goal setting. - Oversee all day-to-day marketing team operations, including content development, creation, and promotion across multiple digital platforms.- Manage the marketing team’s budget, with a focus on leveraging every dollar towards meaningful impact for the movement. - Oversee the tone and programming of social media, paid media, video, blog, and all other website content. Responsible for making sure all content is true to the RepresentUs brand voice, consistent in terms of style, and optimized for relevant channels.- Manage all recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for the team.- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, working closely with the Executive team to make decisions about strategic vision, organizational culture, systems and processes, and financial prioritization.

Zergnet is a content recommendation platform and media company that collects data from thousands of digital publishers to pinpoint cultural trends and analyze audience engagement. As Director of Content Strategy, I utilized this data to make editorial decisions for our owned and operated digital brands. In this role I:- Developed 6 digital O&O brands and exponentially grew traffic. Today these brands collectively drive 40+ million UVs per month. ZergNet’s largest O&O brand Nicki Swift is ranked #72 on Quantcast’s list of Top US sites- Launched 6 successful YouTube accounts from the ground up. Our brands went from 0 to 6 million subscribers in just 2 years, with our O&O brand Looper taking the top spot at nearly 5 million subscribers today- Led and mentored a team of 5 strategists, 10 editors, and nearly 100 freelance writers- Performed extensive A/B tests to develop data-driven marketing strategies across multiple digital platforms; including Google SEO, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube- Analyzed audience insights through Google Analytics and other internal data analysis tools to devise long-term marketing strategies as well as day-to-day editorial decisions- Collaborated with production studios to create and market engaging branded campaigns for YouTube- Maintained brand integrity through consistent messaging, imagery, design, and editorial voice- Lead weekly “all-hands” brainstorms to leverage the team’s collective potential and ensure ongoing creative output - Cultivated an inspiring and productive team culture through goal setting, recognition, and frequent collaboration

In this role, I promoted ZergNet’s content recommendation platform and educated clients about the benefits of this unique service. As an account manager, I cultivated and managed relationships with multiple digital publishing partners.
