 Immediate development of new business opportunities for Upstream Chemicals Serve as interface between customer headquarters team, BHGE field personnel, Product Line and Global Account Management Team; shape and manage expectations between all parties. Plan and present semi-annual reports to the customer that cover BHGE’s safety and technical performance; value added initiatives, and opportunities for improvement and optimization. Manage and coordinate activities across all customer assets to ensure process standardization, best practice sharing, and aligned goals and initiatives. Monitor activity and enforce all contract clauses and rules to ensure BHGE is receiving full value of contract. Lead mitigation team/process for any area wide issues that develop under the contract.  Provide business decision support, through forward-looking analysis, challenge of commercial sensitivities, and risk assessment Provide the financial context for decisions, ensuring strategy alignment and transparency of impact on various financial metrics for Baker Hughes Upstream Chemicals Support on-going business analysis and reports business drivers (contract changes, volumes, operational issues, start-ups, etc.)

Led a multi-disciplined team of Operations, Engineering and Safety professionals responsible for a diverse portfolio of properties producing approximately 8000 BOED from 6 operating areas. Responsible for operational compliance in the highly regulated area of Southern California that included DOT regulated gas gathering and compression systems and PSM regulated gas processing facilities. Accountable for developing an organizational culture that embraced environmental and safety excellence – reducing incidents from 1.77 to 1.37 incident rate. Managed annual budget of $60MM operating and $100MM capital expenses. Led a cross functional team to refine, implement and manage effective MOC , Greenhouse Gas , and volume management programs to ensure compliance with California risk management requirements. Facilitated desegregation efforts as Oxy divested California assets to a stand-alone operating company. Operations subject matter expert for project to design/develop/test and deploy an enterprise HSE application. Led well failure analysis team that identified chemical treating problems in waterflood production operation, reducing failure rate from >1 to 0.5 and operating costs by $2.5MM in six months.  Managed $2.5MM company fleet vehicle program. Developed replacement strategy to minimize fleet life cycle costs while delivering fit for purpose vehicles to operations resulting in an annual budget reduction of $200M.

 Developed and led strategy to implement an asset management program for process equipment and pipelines including risk based evaluation and inspection.  Managed corrosion control and chemical application team and aligned operational requirements with corporate chemical strategy resulting in a reduction of chemical treating costs by 8% Provided technical support and operational (customer) perspective to Facilities Construction Team in design, construction and standardization of new process equipment, pressure vessels and pipelines. Established and directed a team to implement a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), transitioning from a manual process, including development of metrics to measure maintenance program effectiveness.

 Managed operations of 8 fields producing 7000 BOPD. Led team responsible for completing 100 well drilling package including building locations, drilling and completing wells, and installation of dehydration, water treating, disposal equipment and pipelines. Worked closely with process engineers to optimize and enhance facility operations.  Responsible for compliance with HES policies and government regulations (operating under Federal Title V). Accountable for $36MM annual operations expense budget and $48MM capital budget.

Championed continuous improvement initiative in Production Operations team focusing on data driven decision making. Led improvement team for production operations well servicing team focused on reducing non-productive time.Supervised coil tubing and stimulation program for Waterflood RMT. Reduced backlog of wells waiting for treatment from 30 to 5. Increased injection volume from 7500 to 14500 BWPD. Increased injection equated to 750BOPD. Developed cost-tracking model for Production Operations team, analyzing lease-operating expenses to reduce waste and improve effectiveness. Focal point for improving operations team understanding of key financial drivers.

Delivered ~120,000 BBLS of steam to 300 plus injection wells daily through operation of 45 conventional steam generators. Improved horizontal steam conformance from 70% to 92% in 12 months. Managed operations budget ($3MM expense; $1MM capital) to maintain and improve equipment reliability, optimize waste gas processing system in effort to maximize overall field production capabilities.Led Total Production Reliability (TPR) efforts on steam generation and power facilities to increase overall equipment effectiveness from (83% to 92%) Conducted root cause analysis on equipment and process failures to improve reliability and decrease costs. Improved casing gas compressor runtime from 66% to 94% in 18 months (RCA, TapRoot®, Cause Maps). Accountable for regulatory control/compliance of gas fired and vapor recovery equipment under Title V. Championed safe work practices through use of Behavioral Based Safety, Gemba walking with front line personnel, and internal safety compliance audits.
