As a current music business student and a long time musician, I am certain that a career in the music industry is where my skills will prove to be most effective. I already deal within the industry on a day to day basis while working with UMass Lowell's Visual and Performing Arts Center, where I book, promote, and coordinate concerts/ performances. As well as manage and mentor the club's fifteen members. I have also gained knowledge of the live entertainment industry through my position on the production staff at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom. My record industry experience has been with my own band. We have recorded and released (Label and independently) two albums, and are currently recording a third. I have also gained music retail experience through my past sales associate position at Guitar Center. My current goals are to pursue every open door, network as much as possible and to do my best at whatever I am doing. My long term goal is to obtain a steady job within the entertainment industry. It is a simple, possibly even vague goal, but I feel one needs to be capable of operating in all facets of this particular industry to be successful.
