Casey Smith is an experienced legal practitioner. He puts his passion into everything he does, whether he is spending time with his wife and 4 rambunctious boys, hiking and scrambling in the mountains, pursuing his musical talent, competing in long distance cycling events or assisting clients in resolving legal issues.A lifelong learner with an inquisitive mind, Casey has an interest and expertise in many legal areas. He has extensive experience in employment law including termination of senior level employees from both an employee and employer perspective, human rights and labour issues. He has also practiced in construction law providing contractual advice and negotiation as well as handling disputes for payment and builder’s liens and bond claims. Casey also has experience in insurance defence, professional liability, disability claims and indigenous law. Casey now is happy to put all that experience and background to use in his role as General Counsel. Casey’s love of learning is a benefit to his work and he enjoys learning the intricacies and the ins and outs of his clients’ business to better understand the files and all the legal matters that come through his door.
