As a Social Media Manager & Digital Marketing Strategist, I create meaningful channels of communication for target customers and help to establish brands in the e-commerce marketplace. I design and implement long-term digital marketing strategies across email, web, and organic social channels, resulting in increased exposure, engagement, and channel-specific year over year sales numbers. In this role, I work collaboratively to refine brand messages and understand what content resonates with key audiences. More than that, I approach each piece of content as an opportunity to share a brand’s goals and mission, understand a customer base, and foster a lasting connection with each interaction.

Sudara, Inc. is a certified Benefit Corporation with a mission to create living-wage jobs for women in India and sustain deep, generational impact for survivors of sex trafficking and their families.As Sudara's Communications Director, I designed and implemented quarterly strategic marketing plans across email, web, and organic social channels. I worked to develop key content for social channels, blog, impact reporting and marketing platforms and provided creative direction for all aligned visual assets. I also managed public relations initiatives, influencer marketing programs, and external PR vendors to secure placements and develop relationships that aligned with Sudara’s brand and goals.

While serving as a Leadership Resident for Bronx 1 Elementary School, I worked with a team to lead our school community of over 400 elementary school students and their families—further developing my emotional intelligence, ability to listen and understand while fulfilling our school vision, and solve a myriad of problems to the satisfaction of all involved. I managed a team of 22 teachers and coached 6 Associate Teachers for greater leadership as they worked to become Lead Teachers.

As the Associate Director of Leader and Teacher Development, I led a cross-functional team responsible for planning and executing T School, a teacher training program that served more than 1,000 teachers, designed to prepare new, promoted, and returning teachers for the academic school year. Additionally, I designed and executed weekly professional development for more than 150 school leaders and developed an intensive three-week training program, complete with five differentiated tracks to prepare our school leadership teams for the academic year.

Served as a member of a highly selective national service corps of recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools and become lifelong leaders in a wide range of careers. In this role, I designed a rigorous curriculum for 7th and 8th grade students based on North Carolina Standard Course of Study with an achieved average of 80% unit proficiency while effectively implementing instruction built on student-generated data to attain individual student growth goals. Additionally, I acted as middle grades social studies department chair for Thomasboro Academy by providing resources, instruction, and district information to fellow teachers.

Responsibilities included recruiting and organizing volunteers for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, managing event logistics such as volunteer and participant registration, and collaborating closely with the event director for the eastern half of North Carolina to improve event data analysis systems.
