Communities, developers, business owners, non-profits, and others rely on me to help them manage the cost and time burden associated with evaluating, cleaning up, and preparing brownfield sites for safe reuse. My team and I assist our clients with finding creative sources of funding to help them revitalize the old and build new in an otherwise challenging brownfield situation. For example, we seek out brownfield grants and loans and cost reimbursements through tax capture to pay for environmental and infrastructure activities that are essential to their projects. My clients can count on me to continually work to build my knowledge and understanding state/federal environmental regulations and financial incentive opportunities for brownfields so I can walk with them and help them navigate complex financial challenges and regulatory requirements associated with their projects. I have honed these resource finding skills over the past 20 years by participating in professional organizations, keeping up on details of new and changing funding sources, and listening to clients about their biggest redevelopment challenges. Results matter, and I have helped secure millions in brownfield grants and loans and other financial incentives for projects.One of my other roles here at SME is to help foster a culture of learning to assist other environmental and engineering professionals grow in our trade and understand the complexities of the business and community development situations that necessitate our consulting services!After hours, you’ll find me volunteering on local boards and committees and spending time camping, boating, golfing, and all things outdoors with my small, yet amazing family.
