I’ve been a nurse for 3 years now, previously as an LPN and just now as a newly-licensed RN. I’m eager to jump back into the field and start providing holistic patient care to the best of my ability.I’m proficient in/with medication administration, patient assessment, computers and EMR systems, documentation, and team work. I am adaptable to changes in schedules, situations, and many other things. Wherever I go I try to build a positive connection with my coworkers so that the team can work better together. My employment as an LPN has been between semesters for school. As soon as I graduated from LPN school and got my license, I applied for an Associate RN program at Morrisville and worked for the summer until it was time for the semester to start. I did the same thing the following summer. I chose not to work during school semesters both because my schedule couldn’t accommodate a job and full-time school, and because I wanted to put forth my best effort in school.I’ve been exposed to many different areas of nursing in my clinicals for school and in my work, from critical care to substance abuse to maternity and oncology. I love critical care nursing and at some point in my career wish to be an ICU nurse. Besides ICU, I have no other preference for area or specialization and am willing to dive into anything to help people and gain more experience.
