I am the Director of Athletics at Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ. We compete as a D1 school in the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA). Fulfilling the role of Athletic Director allows me to pursue my passion of impacting students through athletics. Our mission is to utilize athletics as the primary platform for our athletes, coaches, and fans to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In the last 3 years, which is also the first 3 years of the new regime in the athletic department, we have grown our sports programs from 10 teams to 24 teams. We are excited for the continued growth and development of our programs at PVCP!In addition to my role as AD, I am also a National Advisor for College Baseball Advisors. This venture allows me the opportunity to mentor young athletes and their families on the college recruiting process. I have the privilege of walking those athletes and their families through conversations on scholarships, recruiting camps and showcases, college coaching communications, NCAA clearing house, academics, and more. The intent is to lead the players that we select through a process that will allow them to see all of the opportunities available to them in the sports of baseball and softball. We believe these student athletes should understand they are making a 40 year decision, not a 4 year decision when deciding where to play at the next level. We focus on widening the margins of opportunity with the goal of allowing every student athlete to evaluate every potential opportunity available to them through the sport of baseball and softball. —Prior to my current roles, I previously taught middle school Bible at Northwest Christian School in Phoenix, AZ. I also served as an assistant baseball coach at NAIA-Arizona Christian University.Before moving to Phoenix with my beautiful wife, Sydney, I taught middle and high school English in the WA State public school system.I have a heart and passion for serving people with the desire to use the platform of administrative leadership, classroom teaching, faith based vocational ministries, and coaching, as a way to share the Gospel and grow in my own walk as a follower of Jesus Christ. I am a very determined and driven individual who loves to be challenged and pushed to my greatest potential when surrounded by like minded individuals. I am also a former youth pastor, young life leader, college enrollment counselor, recruiter, and high school baseball and football coach.
