• Conduct essential research and prepare new business for underwriters. Ensure underwriter is able to prepare quotes or policies and provide excellent customer service on a timely basis
• Perform necessary tasks to prepare the renewal for underwriter review
• Analyze experience modification reports and adjust policies as necessary for policy accuracy and compliance
• Conduct audit follow up to determine appropriate changes are made to policy
• Review and analyze policy credit list and execute appropriate action with stakeholder to ensure appropriate administration action is taken
• Organize meetings for the account manager team, prepare agendas

• Has an understanding for the NCCI underwriting manual, regulations and laws for workers’ compensation in Colorado, and current pricing models
• Classifies basic risks and reviews applications for new business under $10,000 in premium
• Effectively communicates and educates policy holders in workers’ compensation as well as additional programs offered by Pinnacol Assurance
• Creates a positive working relationship with assigned agencies to provide quick and accurate turn around on applications
• Writes and reviews workers’ compensation insurance policies, reviews and resolves policy problems, and assists with audits completed as needed for new policies
• Works with the team of new business representatives to create more efficient business standards

• Provides expanded administrative support for a business team that manages the Pinnacol safety group book of business. Includes processing a back log of over 70 Independent Contractor forms and ensuring communication.
• Generates Athena reports after notification of safety group meetings; assesses timelines based on renewal dates and status
• Prepares and processes policy endorsements including waivers of subrogation, address changes, and other miscellaneous endorsements
• Communicates basic principles of workers compensation and company guidelines/requirements/procedures with policyholders, injured workers, medical providers, attorneys and Division of Workers Compensation, utilizing the.
• Responsible for processing first reports of injury received via phone, fax, web and/or by other methods
• Explains and interprets basic issues regarding policies, claims, and medical provider accounts, statements and related data; begins to process a variety of general questions with assistance from team members
