With more than two decades of experience, Casey L. White is considered by her colleagues to be a communications authority in her role as External Communications and Media Relations Administrator for Oklahoma Human Services. She has led the external communications team since 2019, including social and traditional media efforts, as well as offering communications and media counsel for the agency’s senior executive leadership. Casey has a specialty background in Child Welfare communications and provides guidance and expertise with a non-anxious presence during critical incidents. She has served the agency’s child welfare team throughout Oklahoma’s foster care reform efforts. Oklahoma Human Services offers help and hope to more than one million Oklahomans each year across a wide range of services including food assistance, child support, child care, child welfare, developmental disabilities services and programs to assist vulnerable adults. As part of the agency’s internal public relations and marketing firm, Casey and her team represent each of these core service areas and their 13 support divisions, promoting services and resources that improve the lives of our state’s residents. Casey specializes in crisis communication, multi-channel communications strategy and messaging, content management, brand integrity and media relations. Her team won an Upper Case award for Executive Communications in 2023 from the Public Relations Society of America, Oklahoma City chapter. Casey loves writing and creating, and published her first children’s book, Melody Moose and the Lost & Found Song, in 2023. She lives in Oklahoma City with her beloved husband and their children, whose exuberance and curiosity fill their home with joy and hilarity.
