With over 4 years of work experience, I am passionate about empowering young people to develop holistically and reach their full potential. As a youth worker at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, I facilitate their personal, social, and educational development, and enable them to have their voice, influence, and place in society. I am currently studying my BA Hons in Youth and Community from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and I am committed to continuous learning and improvement in my field of expertise. I value diversity, inclusion, and collaboration, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for the young people I work with.In my current role, I work with children and young people from various backgrounds, ages, and needs, providing them with guidance, mentoring, and information on various topics, such as health, education, career, and life skills. I also design and deliver informal education programmes and activities that are relevant, accessible, and enjoyable for them, such as workshops, clubs and trips. I use my skills in working with children, child welfare, and informal education to foster positive relationships, build trust, and promote participation and empowerment among the young people I serve. I am proud of the impact I have made on their lives and the feedback I have received from them and their families.
