As a licensed PE/PSE I have an extensive background in structural design and analysis. I even have experience with hand drafting structural details and foundation/framing plans from when I was a teenager working for my father when he started his own company back in 1994. I have practiced solely as a structural engineer and don't pretend to know or offer advice/opinions in the other branches of engineering. With experience in all types of building materials from wood framing to structural steel and masonry and concrete, I have designed and analyzed countless structures incorporating them all. Utilizing both hand calculations and several structural design software programs in my daily routine helps to optimize our structural designs and incorporate the most economic building materials where the structure is located. Being licensed in 6 different states (CO, NM, AZ, UT, TX, LA) has given me insight to different construction practices across numerous regions and experience with various loading conditions (snow, wind, seismic, etc.). Our project experience ranges from multi-million dollar custom homes to commercial and institutional facilities like office/retail buildings and schools/hospitals. With over 20+ years of personal structural engineering experience and practicing as a licensed PE for the past 7 years we've designed thousands of structures that have been constructed across the Southwestern United States and continue to expand our knowledge of the latest codes, building materials, and construction practices to help excel our structural expertise into the future.
