I joined Vaco upon the acquisition of Aventine Hill Partners during 2019. This included providing full-time project manager and business analyst consultants to supplement the client's functional staff.

Aventine Hill Partners was a Texas based professional services firm. We provided C-Level Advisory; Consulting; Interim & Project Solutions; and Executive Search in the areas of Accounting & Finance; Business & Technology; and Risk & Compliance. I started the CIO Advisory practice and performed business development and delivery for consulting engagements. I also served on the leadership team as the CIO, and during tenure, implemented a new CRM, recruiting, and billing platform; selected and managed an IT managed services provider (MSP); implemented Office365 & SharePoint Online, and led the redesign of the firm website.CIO Advisory engagements for clients included:> Performed a strategic assessment and developed a three year IT roadmap for a mature $500+ million manufacturer running SAP.> At multiple PE-owned oilfield services companies, assessed aging ERP systems and defined roadmaps for improvement, or led software evaluations to select replacements.> Assessed merger integration requirements and recommended application roadmaps to standardize key processes and systems for a midstream company that acquired another larger company.> Recommended an IT strategy and accounting system, then directed implementation of NetSuite at a pre-revenue offshore drilling company.> Performed IT assessments, recommended organization and process changes, and evaluated IT managed service firms at multiple companies.> Defined HR/Payroll roadmaps for multiple companies, evaluating and recommending in-source software vs out-source vendor options.Aventine Hill was acquired by Vaco in Q1 2019. As CIO during 2019, planned and collaborated with Vaco IT on integration activities including:> Migrating from Aventine Hill Office 365 to Vaco O365.> Migrating network and PC support from our MSP to Vaco IT.> Migrating the CRM, recruiting, and billing processes and systems.> Consolidating IT services contracts.

Provided business process improvement and application development support globally to LyondellBasell's Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Communications, and Manufacturing-Maintenance business functions.The primary application suite was SAP ERP plus SAP BW reporting, SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and SAP Learning Solution. The team consisted of Managers, Solution Leads, and Configuration Developers. Non-SAP applications included Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Manufacturing maintenance and engineering applications, Documentum, support for company internet and intranet sites, and custom development on the .NET platform. During this period, my group also led IT's internal implementation of BMC Remedy IT service management suite.Team members were in Houston and multiple sites in Europe. Span of control was 5 managers and base staff of ~65 plus project contractors.Key accomplishments were:> Consolidation of North America payrolls on SAP> Global spend reporting in BW sourced from multiple ERPs> Consolidation of the SAP ERP systems.Aggregated savings were $10+ million from the global IT budget and direct and indirect business benefits exceeding $40 million. Separately, cost reductions of $2.5 million from my department's $14 million budget were achieved after the company's chapter 11 bankruptcy.Prior role was IT Senior Manager supporting Finance and HR. A key accomplishment was leading a major SAP ERP & BW upgrade project accompanied by implementation of BizTalk interface architecture and online training tools. Scope of project was 100+ matrixed team members and was completed on time and $1.5 million under budget. Other accomplishments were redesigning Lyondell's web site, implementing SAP Treasury, and implementing P&L reporting using SAP BW.

This period in my career involved progressing from an entry-level EDP Auditor position at corporate to a Director position in the Operations Division at VALIC, a subsidiary.This progression was generally focused on positions involving project leadership to improve processes and implement system enhancements ranging from transaction processing efficiency to account access through the internet (back when this was new).During these years, I worked in Accounting, Customer Service, Premium Administration, and some dedicated project roles.
