Cintas does a lot more them just fire protection but so far this is the industry I have been working with. During this internship I have been flagging government entities, making sure invoices look clean for our customers when we migrate to a new system, making customer names easier to read for our sales service reps here at Cintas, and analyzed and audited over five thousand material colors to help with accurate material pricing. During this internship, Cintas has given us interns the opportunity to take various business classes to teach us essential skills that we will need for the business world. Also during this internship the Cintas team has invited us to real project meetings and also have given us tours of a few plants to expand our knowledge of the business world and to show us further how it works.

During this time I had the great opportunity to work on-site at the Cintas FAS DC in Middletown, Ohio. During this internship I was tasked with many different process improvement projects and also inventory management, while also getting the opportunity to work on the floor with the many great partners at Cintas. During this internship I got to learn the ins and outs of a distribution center and also what all it takes to carry out a process improvement projects. I learned inventory management through SAP and would help correct inventory discrepancies when they arose. I helped jump start a pallet return idea, a Q/A process improvement idea, and also helped set up the ground work for a new training role for the DC. These projects helped instill discipline, planning, and communication skills in me I will take into any career path in the future. Overall I had a great time meeting everybody at the DC and this will be an experience I take with me for the rest of my life.
