I had full P&L responsibility for Health IT products and services offered to the commercial health payer and related markets. My team developed and implemented strategic and tactical plans, including potential M&A and government relations activities to expand into new areas. I established and managed budgets & provided leadership over day-to-day operations including direction of personnel, budgets and projects, product development and maintenance as well as services for commercial, federal and state engagements. Additionally, I provided proposal and capture support to help win major contracts through government RFPs responses involving Program Integrity (Fraud, Waste and Abuse) and Medical and Quality Management (Care Analytics & Quality). We launched 2 new products, re-platformed the healthcare fraud investigations & analytics tool to work with CMS’s Integrated Data Repository, and, using lean startup practices, brought 2 new services offerings to market: Special Investigations Unit outsourcing and Medical Chart Abstraction services. These services complemented the product offering and provided strategic advantage over competitor’s offerings.We also Implemented the wholesale conversion from traditional waterfall to agile application development practices within 6 development teams who continually developed and released off-the-shelf and customized health IT solutions for both commercial and government customers.

I was the CIO of this pan-European retail sports company with more than 200 retail stores and turnover of $200M. As an integral member of the company’s executive committee, I shaped mission and vision through insights concerning information technologies. I participate in all committee tasks and responsibilities to manage the strategic and tactical technology aspects of design, production, distribution and sale of motorcycle apparel and accessories.

At ASG, I was responsible for planning and oversight of pre-sales activities for Business Service and Infrastructure Management Applications, worldwide. Our largest clients were international multi-brand retail conglomerates. Our operations spanned the globe, including the U.S., Australia, S. Africa, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. I assigned, trained and supervised worldwide Customer Support Engineering staff.

I had overall responsibility for operation of company, including finance/M&A, business operations, product road maps and architecture, level 1 and level 2 technical support, business development and partnerships, customer and partner relations, marketing and sales. • In December 2002, StarRemote Wireless was purchased by ASG Software Solutions.

During my 10 years of active duty, I served in shipboard & tactical operations, as Operations Deck Watch Officer, Weapons, Electronics & Communications Officer, Classified Materials Custodian and Boarding Officer, Project Engineer and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).I enforced U.S. laws and supervised boarding procedures of recreational and commercial vessels. I was also Operations Engineer and COTR for the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic System (VTS) and Operations Manager & Project Engineer for global Communications Station (COMMSTA) Automation System (CAS) design, procurement, deployment and operations training.During Operation SUPPORT DEMOCRACY (Haiti) I served as Command, Control, and Communications systems coordinator for the Harbor Defense Command.
