Casey has been elected to serve his second term in the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 8. He was elected as Majority Leader by his colleagues for the 2023-2024 session and is chairman of the Senate State Affairs committee and a member of the Senate Commerce and Energy and Legislative Procedures committees. Prior to that Casey served as Majority Whip from 2021-2022, chairman of the Senate Commerce and Energy committee, and was a member of the State Affairs, Transportation and Legislative Procedures committees. He has also served on the Redistricting committee, and interim studies on workforce housing and property taxes.

Developed business case for a $300,000 product development, and successfully launched product in under one year. Created niche initiative task force to accomplish accelerated growth plan. Collaborated with development teams to create three year plan for product development and marketing/advertising initiatives.

Expanded market knowledge by attending numerous industry related conferences, achieved various certificates, continued to attend seminars and training sessions on sales, management and leadership. Played a key role in establishing a new satellite office in Chicago, IL. Promoted to Market Manager following third year in position.
