About Casey Quiroga

I am excited about joining the Balfour Beatty estimating team in the Raleigh area. I really enjoy problem solving, and have an astute attention to detail. I have previously worked as an estimator for a local general contractor in the Raleigh area for almost 3 years. In that time, I gained a lot of knowledge about takeoff, cost estimation, negotiations with subcontractors, scopes of work, and understanding of different trades/divisions coming together to complete a project. I have worked extensively with On Center On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, ICE MC^2 and have some familiarity with Planswift estimating software. I am also familiar with the SmartBidNet estimating platform to communicate with subcontractors and advertise active projects. Prior to that, my previous positions included a project engineer for Geotechnical and Environmental consulting firms. I have gained both field and office experience in assisting the preparation and implementation of a variety of subsurface exploration programs involving test pits, geoprobes, test borings, rock cores, and groundwater monitoring wells. I have also been actively involved in the construction monitoring of drilled piles (micro and mini), helical piles, support of excavations, soil compaction, and documented underground storage tank removal. Specialties: On Center On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, ICE MC^2, Bluebeam, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), MATlab, ArcView/GIS, Groundwater Vistas, familiar with Spanish.I have used and am familiar with: Planswift, L-Pile, Winsafi, GeoSlope (Slope/w, Seep/w), and Plaxis software.

Listed skills include Geotechnical Engineering, Groundwater, Soil, Matlab, and 27 others.
