Director, Event Brand Marketing
Current‣ Overseeing all aspects of marketing communications for the TCS New York City Marathon, including brand strategy, visual identity, positioning, campaign development, media planning, consumer engagement, and experiential activations.‣ Collaborating with various teams within the organization, including Digital Content, Creative Services Events, PR, Partnerships, Youth & Community, and Strategy & Planning, to establish and lead comprehensive marketing plans.‣Taking on a strategic leadership role for the development and execution of the Marathon campaign, serving as a thought leader and brand steward to maintain consistency across all organization-wide initiatives.‣ Managing multiple agency partners and internal creative resources, ensuring they push creative boundaries, bring innovative ideas, and maintain high standards in advertising, media, brand design, signage, and experiential activations.‣ Leading the planning and execution of the annual Marathon media strategy. Setting clear goals, key strategies, and employing efficient and effective tactics to keep audience engagement thriving year-round.‣ Collaborating with the Experiential team on the development of the TCSNYCM Expo, with the merchandising and licensing department, as well as New Balance, to develop TCS New York City Marathon wearables and merchandising elements, and with the Partnership team to ensure partner integration across all Marathon initiatives.‣ In addition to the Marathon, responsible for leading marketing efforts for all weekly races, including developing communication plans and external promotional and advertising plans to drive sell-out and registration goals for each race.‣ Creating strategies to establish and maintain brand identities for the races, encompassing logos, signage, race collateral, premiums, advertising, and communications materials, as well as on-site experiences.
