CurrentDrafts, files, and serves subpoenas, orders to produce, notices of appeal, motions, notices of appearance, and various other legal documents.Transcribes video and audio discovery that can be used as evidence in trials and hearings.Analyzes and organizes discovery in criminal trials.Facilitates the receipt and disclosure of discovery between NYCDS and the Manhattan District Attorney's office.Conducts research and reviews discovery to help attorneys prepare for trial.Assists attorneys in jury selection.Serves as a litigation assistant for attorneys during criminal trials and hearings.Sends resources such as clothes, notebooks, and other supplies to incarcerated clients.Assists clients in obtaining arrest property seized by NYPD.Requests transcripts of court proceedings from court reporters.Collects data for the NYCDS Data & Research Unit.Coordinates the secure disclosure of case documents with privately-retained and appeals attorneys, as well as clients who are incarcerated and released on their own recognizance.Schedules video conferences and other meetings between clients (incarcerated and released) and attorneys.
