After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree I joined a small recruiting firm in Utah that focused on hiring for startups in Silicon Valley. I spent nearly 10 years recruiting for various companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. A couple of notable startups I worked with include a startup acquired by Teradata that was building a database appliance. I enjoyed recruiting database kernel engineers and candidates that had deep expertise in databases. I reached out to a lot of candidates at Oracle, IBM, Sybase, Informix among other database vendors. Another interesting startup I worked with was a genomics company based in Mountain View that was bringing the cost of DNA analysis down to the sub-$1,000 range back in 2006-2008. They had very complex software/hardware solutions and I placed some of the best and brightest software engineers of my career with them. They were storing Multi-Petabytes of data and doing image analysis.Around 2010 I had the opportunity to join a Utah based custom software development company (SolutionStream). My focus there was primarily around hiring software engineers. SolutionStream builds complex web and mobile applications working in many different languages and technologies. I enjoyed working and building the software teams who I also worked alongside. From there I joined a Fintech company (Doma) revolutionizing the real estate transaction process. I recruited a talented team of Product Managers at Doma.Most recently I was the Lead Recruiter at Ketch. Ketch is solving complex problems at the intersection of AI and Data Privacy. Ketch is a Series A startup based in San Francisco. Although I worked remotely I attended many live company events. For 2 years at Ketch, I spearheaded the recruiting efforts, bringing on board exceptional talent across various job functions.On a more personal note I am the Father to 3 wonderful children. They are my why. We have 2 dogs. A black German Shepherd that my son has spent countless hours training so she is very well behaved. We also have a Blue Heeler. As a puppy she chased down a car and lost a leg. She has three legs - in other words a "Tri-Pawed". You’d never know she is missing a leg when you watch her zip around the yard.
