I was involved in a multitude of research projects at this start-up firm. Throughout my time at QHRC, I worked with research assistants to process qualitative data with NVivo software, assisted with on-boarding team members to new research waves, and interviewed at UW Health on a project exploring outcomes of nerve decompression surgeries. I so enjoyed working with QHRC's team and thoroughly explored every opportunity to develop my research skills with this growing, dynamic company. In this position, I collected data and designed templates for health-centered community reports to be used in health policy decisions for a variety of communities in Wisconsin, in partnership with Green Tier. I utilized and became familiar with a number of data sources for this project including but not limited to the U.S. Census, DPI, and County Health Rankings. This internship also involved a presentation of my findings and data visualization options to senior associates. I also had the opportunity to attend and assist in a Health in All Policies training held for regional city officials in Eau Claire, WI.
