Responsible for managing both the marketing and product decisions for inbound.org. As a young community, we focused on solving the retention issues the platform had before tackling acquisition of new customers. Through improvements in the UI/UX, marketing automation, and messaging we were able to increase retention of our users by 125%. Over the course of the first year, we were able to increase the number of weekly active users by over 225% by building an advanced algorithm to display personalized content to our users. To increase the engagement rate with our emails, we were able to sent each user custom content of their interest.Focusing on our PPC efforts, we were able to sync custom data to Facebook which allowed us to create custom audiences that reduced the cost of acquisition by 64%, while increasing the overall number of new members coming in weekly. Through use of different APIs and data sources we were able to find and discover audiences that helped reduce our costs.

Responsible for the execution and planning of Wistia's top of the funnel acquisition strategy. Setting up and analyzing the success of the companies PPC, retargeting and prospecting campaigns to validate effective spend of budget.Also focusing on the conversion of Wistia's free customers into paying customers, along with the retention of those paying customers. Analyzing the features that cause free customers to convert and implementing strategies to encourage additional free customers to engage with those features.I was also focused on increasing brand awareness, bringing qualified new leads to the funnel, testing strategy, and free customer conversion. Also worked on building an attribution model and tracking customer interactions so the Wistia marketing and product teams can make the right decisions for the future of Wistia.Spent time leading the marketing engineering efforts for Wistia's marketing properties. Working to put marketing automation and personalization within the funnel for greater conversion rates. Also taking the learnings from continued CRO and sharing those techniques with the Wistia community through blog posts, webinars, and speaking engagements.

I work closely with our marketing, support, and other engineering teams to determine how we can provide a great user experience while using the Moz website.When time permitted I was also found diving into the Moz code base to complete any remaining projects. I was also frequently found mining data from the database of Moz, pulling customer usage and metrics.
