Facilitating effective communication and coordination between City of Toronto divisions and Metrolinx for the implementation of the GO Expansion Program.The Transit Expansion Office leads and directs the City's participation in long-term, multi-billion dollar transit network expansion projects. The division plays a critical role in providing end-to-end oversight of transit expansion projects as they advance through the project lifecycle, including:Serving as the City's single point of contact for all transit expansion projects;Ensuring the City's interests and priorities are reflected in transit network expansion efforts; andCoordinating and streamlining municipal programs and services required to advance transit expansion projects.

Using a strong understanding of the design and delivery of effective public consultation, I help develop consultation and engagement plans and materials; review and organize consultation feedback and write summary reports on the results; and conduct outreach to stakeholders and the public, developing relationships and promoting participation in public processes.

As a Public Consultation Intern, I learned skills and techniques for effective community and stakeholder engagement for large municipal planning projects. I helped develop communication and engagement materials for Toronto’s downtown study, ‘TOcore’, and assisted with public consultations, compiled findings and wrote consultation summary reports for the ‘Midtown in Focus’ study.

Working with the Municipal Licensing and Standards Division, I performed a jurisdictional scan of rooming house management practices in multiple cities across Canada and the USA. The scan outlined current practices in zoning, licensing and enforcement, and explored new and innovative strategies for rooming house management, contributing to research for Toronto's Rooming House Review.

I efficiently coordinated the monthly leasing of over 400 units of the private non-profit, mixed income housing organization. In my role I connected individuals and families on The Social Housing Registry of Ottawa waiting list with subsidized housing opportunities with CCOC. I worked in partnership with local social service agencies and the CMHA to ensure successful tenancies for mutual clients experiencing difficulties with independent living.

As TCC's administrative assistant and events coordinator, I ensured office efficiency by maintaining a complex calendar of boardroom and office bookings. I provided excellent customer service, professionally addressing clients’ administrative needs and prepared accurate proposals, quotes, invoices and contracts displaying keen attention to detail.

Working with a group of four co-teachers, I prepared weekly lesson plans to teach to elementary students from grades 3-6. In addition to my regular teaching, I taught parent, teacher and specialty classes. During the students' off season I developed fun and educational children's games and activities for English summer camps. I was also the MC and host of the 2008 Bupyeong-gu English Festival for area elementary students.

Youth Net / Réseau Ado is a mental health promotion and intervention program run by youth, for youth. As a facilitator, I was responsible for organizing and leading focus groups and delivering presentations on youth mental health and housing issues. I worked to promote and educate youth about positive coping mechanisms for stress and acted as a bridge for participants to youth-friendly community resources. Over two years I successfully carried out various popular youth groups such as Girl Talk, Pens & Paints, Take a Hike, and Yoga 4 Youth, all of which combined hands on activities with mental health related discussion.
