In my current role as Senior Project Manager for the Enabling Services hub at GM Financial, I work to support several departments that include Accounting, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Audit, HR, Global Communications and Global Security & Facilities. I transitioned over from the HR PMO department as Senior Project Manager in December 2019 where I started my GM Financial career back in September 2016. As a project manager, I work to bridge gaps throughout the company and build relationships to strengthen, improve, and streamline our business processes. I am responsible for building timelines and crafting/defining overall plans and deliverables for multiple projects with varying objectives, and manage high profile cross-functional projects that impact our overall business. Prior to GM Financial, my background is comprised of 11 years of field and corporate retail experience with the RadioShack Corporation. I spent five years in the field managing three different store locations; achieving an increase in overall sales volume each year. I was promoted to District Manager in 2009 where I oversaw 16+ locations before taking a position in Store Operations at the Corporate Office. in 2011. As a member of the Store Operations team, I acted as the voice of the field in working with cross-functional teams on company-wide initiatives; primarily responsible for making sure that those policies were correctly carried out at the store level. In 2013, I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge of the field and operations to a position within Marketing. In my position as the Manager of Local Marketing Programs, my main responsibilities focused on localized marketing initiatives and events in an effort to drive incremental traffic to stores. I was responsible for analyzing these initiatives to determine effectiveness and report/make suggestions to upper management for future planning.
