My 10 week internship experience with Fidelity Investments in the Digital Assets Department provided me additional exposure to alternative investments such as cryptocurrencies. I gained valuable insight into how a financial services giant approaches an emerging asset class while improving networking skills and gaining additional familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite. By the end of my 10 weeks, I left the Business Execution Team with an improved RFI database that now sits in software management tool Qvidian. This project allowed me the opportunity to see what kinds of questions clients wanted answers to which ultimately allowed me valuable insights into all aspects of the business.

During my 8 weeks as a Decentralized Finance Intern at Khelp Financial I improved upon my skills in Microsoft Office by creating slide decks for clients. I also gained the experience of sitting in on investment committee meetings while contributing to conversation regarding whether or not certain cryptoassets should be included in the investment universe.

As an enthusiast for blockchain technology and advocate for the benefits it can provide unbanked individuals, I started blogging about the underlying technology behind cryptocurrency to better understand it myself, as well as to provide friends and family with a blueprint to understanding the asset class which was rising in popularity. In this time, I interviewed numerous startup founders in the industry to give readers a first hand account into the space, while performing my own independent research to write compelling arguments for the adoption of blockchain technology in financial services.

Throughout my three summers on the docks, I was able to sharpen my communication skills by helping club members better understand the local waters. Additional responsibilities included fueling up boats, cleaning boats, and assisting members with getting on and off the dock.

Following my freshman year of college, I decided to take a gap year during the pandemic to intern for SkillSurvey. I had the opportunity to assist a national sales team by providing market research to the team, highlighting verticals that were benefiting from the pandemic and upcoming presidential election. I also became familiar with Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite. I performed much of this job while hiking and traveling South America.
