Summary: Innovative and proven manufacturing operations director and program manager with 15 years of experience within top-tier contract manufacturers.About myself: I transitioned my engineering and legal education into a fun and successful career within the manufacturing industry. I am fortunate to have worked with amazing companies and met many incredible people along the way. Here are a few highlights:• I am motivated by my teams, and I particularly enjoy managing diverse, cross functional groups. My top priority is employee safety and job satisfaction. As Richard Branson said, “Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” This philosophy has helped me maintain low employee turnover rates and high customer satisfaction scores while meeting or exceeding my company's financial targets.• I am proud to have helped many customers take their products from the NPI stage to mass production. For some customers, I help with DFM/DFX decisions and provide engineering management support. On a larger scale, I have been involved in building factories from scratch. I was one of the first employees to help start a major cell phone provider build its facility. In one year, our facility grew to 52 production lines and produced 1 million+ phones.• I enjoy continuous improvements through lean manufacturing fundamentals. Over my career, I have led nearly twenty kaizen workshops, each lasting around three weeks. Many of these workshops were guided by a “sensei” who began his career within the Toyota Production System - the birthplace of today’s lean principles. This training and experience has helped me identify and prioritize optimal cost savings opportunities. This included implementation of a $17M automated SMT facility.• I am an SME on a wide array of manufacturing processes and procedures. As I began my career, I was eager to learn about every facet of the manufacturing process. As I became experienced, I enjoyed sharing with others the tips and lessons I learned. While at Flex, I enthusiastically accepted a few short-term assignments from our corporate team to support manufacturing sites in Europe, Asia, and North America with their continuous improvement activities.
