About Casey Hoffman

I'm always searching for ways to utilize my diverse academic, research, leadership, nonprofit, and corporate experiences to catalyze social change. I’m passionate about education, social justice, entrepreneurship, innovation, community involvement, autism, athletics, and global leadership. I am a dependable, organized, and driven individual looking to apply my expertise to transforming the world. I started working at Portland Public Schools in August, 2020 and currently serve in a Project Manager role on the Office of School Performance reporting to the Chief of Schools.I am also a co-founder of See Beneath, Inc. (http://seebeneath.org), a California-based nonprofit that creates early developmental tools for children with autism. Our first product is an interactive app called "Aiko & Egor: Animation 4 Autism" that is designed to engage and educate young children with autism. My passion for supporting the autism community was born while I worked directly with children with ASD and their families as part of the UCSD Autism Intervention Research Program for five years.Previously, I worked for over 6 years at Aspire Public Schools in many roles, most recently as Interim Chief of Staff and Director of Growth and Strategy overseeing critical strategic initiatives and new school developments. And before Aspire, I spent 5 years at the UCSD Autism Intervention Research Program working directly with young children with ASD and their families and managing the research program.I have a MS in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. I graduated from UC San Diego in June of 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Communications. I have gained international experience by studying in Utrecht, Netherlands, taking a master's level business course in China, and traveling the world for 9 months in 2019-20.
