Structural Engineer
CurrentCasey performed the structural design of commercial and residential structures as well as ongoing construction support and inspections. Responsible for: - Structural steel design to Australian Standards using SpaceGass structural analysis software along with supporting hand calculations. - Reinforced concrete design of multistory residential structures including flat slabs, beams, columns, shear walls and foundations. Design performed by hand calculations to Australian Standards and structural analysis using SLABS analysis software. - Structural design of piled foundations for multistory beachfront buildings for permanent and imposed actions along with actions associated with coastal erosion events. - Structural design of steel, timber, masonry and concrete elements for residential projects. - Providing consultation services and assessments on existing structures, including providing advice on the current condition and safe continued use of the structure. - Ongoing structural support of projects including design meetings with project managers, architects and builders, reinforcement inspections of all concrete elements, and design modifications due to project changes.
