Part of my role here is also to gather state and federal updates to Every Student Succeeds Act and train employees on how to manage assigned school sites’ use of categorical funds. Audits (federal/state reviews) that I have coordinated several times include Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) and Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co (VTD) Audit. A large part of my role here is to collaborate with internal and external partners on how to most effectively educate the district on state mandated updates to policy and discuss how we can prepare programs to increase organization-wide performance while remaining in compliance.

I also developed marketing and adverting techniques and executions for unit programs. Coordinator for grant funded programs. A majority of the time in this position was spent under the East Lubbock Promise Neighborhood grant. This grant focuses on low SES families and a majority of the students from a under-served background. In the position, I was responsible for presenting college ready programs to these groups of students, created new and innovating programming to keep these student interested and motivated for a college going mentality, and re-assuring that they had access to all other students. Other grant funded programs that I would oversee included served students affiliated with the Maddox foundation and TTU. Daily responsibilities include representing the office of community engagement at Texas Tech University, presenting to k-12 students, hosting events on Texas Tech's Campus and at surrounding school campuses, maintaining semester goals for number of students seen, supervising student employees, and maintaining budget forecast for each semester.
