PERSONAL OBJECTIVE Despite my interest in the financial field, I want to gain a deeper perspective on my passions before pursuing a career. I have realized that one of the most important elements in a successful career is doing something that you love. Upon graduation I want to take advantage of my new found freedom, and take time off to travel the world before starting a professional career path.I will apply my communication, technology, critical thinking, and leadership/teamwork skills, to aid me in planning, preparing for, and embarking on a one year journey. This trip will be a time to experience new cultures, and realize new opportunities. It will be a period of introspection, where I can evaluate my values and realize my passions. I will gain from it a stronger sense of self-reliance, negotiation, improvisation, and bravery that will be invaluable in a future professional career. PROFILEAs an intern under the managing partner at a growing financial consulting firm, assumed major responsibilities, and learned the process behind personal wealth management and portfolio allocation. Became familiar with client database systems. Learned to evaluate mutual fund, equity, ETF, and money market performance. Gained experience in interpreting client needs, demographics, and personal preferences to develop recommendations on holdings that will allow client’s money to grow and satisfy financial requirements. Almost four years in the restaurant industry, over six years in customer service. A strong commitment to serving the community.
