About Casey Tallant
Hello all!My name is Casey Tallant. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associates Degree in Interpreter Preparation from Front Range Community College in 2020. I then graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Applied Science from Regis University in 2022. I have since gained experience working as a sign language interpreter in K-12, post-secondary, and Video Relay Service (VRS) settings. After obtaining my Bachelors degree and gaining 2 years of interpreting experience in the field, I have decided to pursue national certification. I anticipate being nationally certified by summer of 2023.ASL interpreters allow for connection and awareness between two culturally and linguistically unique groups. We must always advocate for the Deaf community; through creation of equal access, utilizing cultural mediation, and making ethical decisions as guided by the Code of Professional Conduct for interpreters. I look forward to continually serving the Deaf community throughout my professional career, and am open to the opportunities of human connection and collaboration that are yet to come.
