With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, I lead the external relations team at Special Olympics New York, one of the largest programs in the U.S., which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 45,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. My core competencies include media relations, internal communications, and leadership development, as well as writing and editing. I collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and advocates to raise the organization's profile, awareness, and impact, and to promote its mission and programs. As a certified coach, I also support the athletes and volunteers who make Special Olympics New York a movement that changes lives.
