Current• Special Olympics New York is one of the largest programs in the U.S. It provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 42,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in 22 sports; partners with more than 200 schools to offer Unified Sports, and offers free health screenings for athletes at all major events. In support of the community it serves, the Office of External Relations at Special Olympics New York aims to raise the organization’s profile, cultivate and strengthen its partnerships, raise awareness of its mission and programs, and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion.
