Primarily responsible for the design, development and evangelism of the AppLab platform. AppLab is an automated suite of tools that allows for the rapid assembly and building of completely native mobile applications for the Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms. AppLab is cloud-based, being hosted completely on Amazon's EC2 platform, and, unlike other mobile development tools, has no dependence on web technologies such as HTML or Javascript opting instead to build completely native applications using the appropriate languages and platforms. Application generation is driven by a proprietary descriptive language called AppML that is used to define, in generic terms, a complete platform-agnostic mobile application.AppLab is built primarily on top of C# 4.0 and Microsoft SQL Server. The system is designed to scale extremely rapidly using a proven queue-based pull architecture and is hosted entirely within Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). The platform is service-oriented and makes heavy use of REST-ful WCF services. AppLab is built on top of SOLID design principles and uses Ninject for Dependency Injection throughout the system. The platform also makes use of several OSS projects such as Topshelf and several bleeding edge technologies such as Microsoft's "Compiler as a Service" CTP, Project Roslyn.

Leading a team of technical personnel in the maintenance and overhaul of a complex, internal-facing application for a major multi-national hotel chain. System overhaul includes conversion of front-end system from Visual Basic 6 to .NET, conversion of service layer from a closed legacy platform to REST-ful WCF and introduction of several modern concepts including automatic dependency injection and service-oriented architecture (SOA).Responsibilities include development, routine maintenance of legacy systems, and general technical direction and training within development team.Introduced agile processes (including Scrum) in order to improve communications and accountability and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

Led development of rewards-based marketing web application for the largest brewing company in the United States. Utilized ASP.NET 3.0, LINQ-to-SQL, automatic dependency injection (via Ninject) and the Model-View-Presenter (MVP) pattern to help deliver value-added functionality. Introduced and educated client and development team on Agile practices and methodologies in order to adapt to constantly changing requirements and deadlines. Instrumental in design and development of next-generation point-of-sale and inventory management systems for a major retail chain. These systems are service-oriented and expose functionality through both PocketPC and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) graphical user interfaces.Participated heavily in design and development of an intelligent industrial automation system. Contribution involved the planning, design and development of point-of-use information touch-screen kiosk software using WPF and REST-ful WCF.Participating in design and development of an enterprise entitlements management application for one of the largest bank holding companies in the world. The application utilizes ASP.NET AJAX and Entity Framework.

Designed and developed a complete automation and operational monitoring platform for a range of financial processing systems. Due to the critical nature of the business, rapid recovery and real-time system-wide monitoring were of the utmost importance. As the system was handling $50M+ worth of credit card transactions daily, fully integrated auditing and security were also vital.

Participated heavily in business framework design and implementation. Trained and mentored a collection of seasoned COBOL developers in .NET and C# development.
