Being a financial advisor would provide these things for me. The Rankin College of Business at SAU hosts speakers multiple times each semester. I have attended many of the speaker's events, but when the financial advisors come to speak. I enjoy those far more and always take more knowledge from those speakers. The speakers make me want to pursue their careers even more.As a Financial Advisor, you are working people and for the most part. Their most prized possessions, money. All the conversations you have with your clients are going to be personal. The client's trust is an essential thing. As an advisor, you must show how to feel for people and understand their origin. I have done a job shadowing at an Edward Jones firm. The person I was shadowing had a call from a client wanting to move a large sum of money to a stock from another long-term, thinking they would do better with it there, but the advisor told them to put their trust in him. From conversations in the past and what the advisor has shown his client, he is doing what is in their best interest.I am involved in a couple of things on campus. I play football and am a President's Ambassador for SAU. We take advantage of every community service opportunity with the football team. As a President's Ambassador, we give tours to people and organizations interested in SAU. It is an excellent opportunity and a honor for me to be peoples first impression of SAU.
