Casper Dreyer Bridging the Practice and Theory of Sports:My academic journey began with a deep dive into the world of anthropology. From my Master's in Social Anthropology, I honed ethnographic research methods, focusing on sports and cultural interactions. This experience ignited a passion for understanding the human element in athletic performance.Now, as a Sports Science Intern, I'm immersed in the practical application of sports science principles. My internship fuels my desire to pursue a PhD in Sports Science. My ultimate goal is to become a leading sports scientist, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world athletic experiences. I am currently interested in the data processes of professional rugby clubs and I would like to use my following research project to; cover the transition from amateur-professional rugby.Rugby Roots:My lifelong love for rugby, honed throughout my playing career, has given me a unique athlete's perspective. I believe this, combined with my anthropological background and current research interests, make me a valuable asset to any sports team or organisation.
