I am a recent graduate from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in environmental engineering. Through the guidance of my advisor Dr. Yarrow Nelson, and my first internship with Vesta, I discovered my passion for chemical oceanography and my summer at WHOI only solidified this passion. For the past three years, my research has focused on using coastal olivine deployment as a form of carbon capture. I now work at MicroBio Engineering investigating CO2 dynamics in our marine microalgae growth ponds. I intend to continue researching the ocean’s relationship with carbon dioxide as I pursue post graduate research opportunities. In my free time I enjoy surfing, painting, and playing the guitar
