The projects at Damen Verolme are very diverse, from simple maintenance projects to complex conversions. As a PM you are fully responsible for the execution of the project. You form your team and determine the execution method of the project together with the various departments. You are responsible for the implementation and execution of the project according to OSBIT. During the project you keep in touch with the customer and ensure the financial progress and settlement with the same customer.Safety and Environment is of course paramount in the implementation and execution.

IHC has a wide and innovative product range in marine, offshore and mining equipment. In this environment I together with my team was responsible for the basic and detail engineering of various dredging vessels according to specification. These teams varied in size. I never had a team larger then 12 engineers

Dutch Dredging is the 3rd size dredging company in the Netherlands. Together with the head of the Technical department we managed the fleet. My main achievement in this company was setting up a technical, logistical and financial IT system. Managing and optimising the technical maintenance, certificates, inventories, purchases and the international logistics in the company.Further I executed some dockings and conversions. I was designing new vessels for the company and making the feasibility studies.

Mainly responsible during a dredging project for the technical functioning of the larger dredgers and all smaller units around it. If necessary also arranging and supervising the docking of the ships. This was mainly an international function

My team was responsible for all kind of projects in the Carbon Black plant. These project are replacement, compliance or improvement driven. For these projects my team determines the scope, planning and was responsible for the safe execution within the budget and time frame

Coordinating and checking the engineering of all kind of projects in the petrochemical industry, e.g. piping systems, mechanical and civil constructions and E&I works. And coordinate the planning with the contractors for execution. Review the discipline progress and estimating the discipline budgets.

Making and checking of all kind of calculations e.g. piping systems, constructions, mechanical and naval architectural Leading the draftsmen for producing the relevant drawings.This bureau stopped activities in May 2004

After a start on the standardisation department. I became, lead engineer. The standardisation involved, construction details, purchase parts and determining the standards for engineering and construction in co-operation with production, purchase department, engineering and design department.
