I lead technical software development projects typically involving 2 to 5 teams and a total of 5 to 50 people. I juggle multiple stakeholders in complex international organisations. I specialise in managing creative and sophisticated professionals working in the field of artificial intelligence – data scientists, data engineers, back-end and front-end developers, quality and insights analysts. I understand their needs from the ground up because I spent over 15 years writing code, not only for data science, but for front-end and back-end technologies.In the struggle between fast, good and cheap I favour good, because I passionately believe that quality pays off in the long run. Where possible, I look to test and learn early, working with agile methodologies to adapt project goals to the ever-changing business environment. I try hard to shield the teams I work with from the inevitable ups and downs this environment brings.
