Hello! I’m Casper ter Kuile.My work explores how we’ll make meaning, deepen our relationships, and experience beauty in the 21st century. Whether convening, studying, writing, or speaking; I’m always weaving together tradition and innovation, levity and profundity, the secular and the sacred.At my best, I find ways to ennoble the everyday and create the conditions for joyful belonging. I believe in the transforming power of small groups, the vitality of commitment, and the liberating potential of good theology. I’m the author of The Power of Ritual, the co-founder of Sacred Design Lab and Nearness, and the co-creator of podcasts Harry Potter and the Sacred Text and The Real Question. I also speak with soulful corporate leaders about ancient wisdom and with forward-thinking religious leaders about trends shaping our culture.My work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, VICE and on NPR and I’ve spoken widely on community trends, ritual, and emerging spirituality at The Aspen Ideas Festival, Cannes Lions Festival, Stanford University and numerous religious institutions.My husband Sean Lair and I live in Brooklyn, NY.
