I managed a classrooms of up to 22 students. I taught children (ages 8 -15) about stop motion animation, computer animation, 2D video game creation, and coding (html, css, and javascript). I completed two weeks of didactic public health training at Morehouse College as a CUPS scholar and was an intern at the Morehouse School of Medicine where I worked on "The Atlanta Community Ambassadors Project." I updated and expanded a community wellness asset map and database through interviews, site-visits, emails, and phone calls. I also completed a literature review about community health workers and assisted my mentor with developing a model for creating a Community Ambassador Program at Morehouse School of Medicine. Skills:- used GIS to update and expand a map of wellness assets (Community Gardens, Fitness Facilities, Nutrition assets, Services, Parks and Recreation Facilities, and Medical Facilities) for a historically underserved community in southwest Atlanta, GA- interviewed key stakeholders from community assets (in-person and on the phone)- conducted site visits - completed an assessment of several local grocery stores- organized and analyzed data using Microsoft Excel - wrote a full research manuscript - presented a poster and powerpoint

I worked in maintenance for six weeks and the kitchen for four weeks at a summer camp that served between 160 - 250 people per week. Maintenance: Cleaned buildings and grounds, maintained and improved the appearance of camp grounds, and assisted with basic repairs.Kitchen: Prepared and served snacks and three meals per day to campers and staff members, cleaned and maintained the cleanliness of the kitchen, and ensured safe preparation of food and drinks.
