As the Director of Public Safety I lead a team that designs and executes emergency response plans and policies, drills, and safety surveys. Additionally this team identifies safety and security incident trends and develops corrective actions for a Town Center with 70,000 weekly visitors and 400 apartment residents. I serve as the liaison between public agencies including Police, Fire, and EMS. My team is responsible for event support including crowd control, traffic control, coordination with set up and take down, and public risk mitigation. I manage all physical security assets for the Town Center including CCTV cameras, access control, key control, and inventory management. I support our retail and restaurant tenants in any loss or retail thefts they may be a victim of. In addition to Public Safety; I am part of the management team that runs the day to day operations of the Town Center.

WI-ORCA’s mission is to create safer communities by bringing together retailers, law enforcement, and prosecutors in a joint effort to oppose, confront, and expose those responsible for committing organisms acts of theft and fraud in Wisconsin.

*Improved shortage results four consecutive years. Shortage improvements totaling $190,000 in a high risk store. *Lead a team that identifies, investigates, and resolves both internal and external theft incidents. Led Milwaukee market in both internal and external resolution in 2013, 2014, and 2016.* Trained 17 assets protection leaders for four different districts in Wisconsin*Promoted seven team members to assets protection leadership roles. Shared talent with other stores.*Lead through my peers to build a shortage awareness culture; focusing on how operational processes impact profitability, and how guest service can prevent theft and fraud.*Utilize theft and fraud metrics and reports to identify & resolve theft within the Milwaukee market (multiple stores) *Collaborate and work closely with local law enforcement on external theft and organized retail crime in the Milwaukee market.*Performed Leader On Duty (LOD) duties; including empowering the team to make it right for the guests, ensuring the store was meeting brand standards; and opening and closing the store on a rotating basis.

* Managed the receiving process, freight flow, and backroom inventory of a $40 million dollar store. Specifics include delivering a clean and well stocked sales floor and backroom, ensuring team members handling food follow freshness and food safety standards, and following up with the safety of all team members and vendors/contractors in the building overnight. *Responsible for interviewing, selection and retention of a team of 60+ team members.*Led a talented team of 60+ through proper training and certifications as well as timely follow up. *Set daily goals and expectations and followed up with the team when expectations are not being met.*Analyze store processes, recommend improvements, and collaborate with peers to make financial and business operation improvements*Let logistics teams through two major events in 2013-a store remodel affecting the entire salesfloor and stock room, and a transition to an early morning process from an overnight logistics process

*Lead teams of 30 + team members through two multi-million dollar store remodels (West Milwaukee, Greenfield)*Work closely with store teams and outside contractors to transform two general merchandise stores to a new store prototype featuring and expanded grocery department as well as improved beauty and baby departments. *Led teams through complete sales floor reset and fixture replacement.
