This was a 6 month contract for the 2021 WA State Election campaign. I was brought over from Victoria in October initially as a Communications Assistant, but was soon promoted to Digital Organiser and given increased responsibilities including managing and executing over 50 candidate announcements on a tight deadline, and providing support and training on the strategic use of candidate social media to over 60 volunteers.I managed The Greens (WA) Facebook and Instagram accounts, created assets in canva, developed copy and responded to constituent inquiries. I also responded to ad-hoc support requests from stakeholders which ranged from captioning videos to creating newspaper advertisements with hours notice.

I am responsible for supporting digital campaigns and overseeing digital content output. I draft email blasts, produce and edit video content, maintain our website and manage a small volunteer social media team.Since the movement begun preparing to launch in January I have gone from helping out with occasional videos and social media posts, to writing emails, website copy and helping draft strategy documents. I was quickly promoted into managing all of these work areas.
