I am a senior philanthropy executive with 7+ years experience in community and research organisations and 4+ years experience in managing academic project grants. I have extensive experience in academic writing, relationship building and stewardship, and the full life-cycle of fundraising projects from initial application to acquittal. I am extremely creative in my approach towards grant opportunities which is evident in the success I have achieved in my various roles. Throughout my time with Scouts NSW I increased grant funding from approximately $1 million a year to nearly $3 million a year. I achieved this success by diversifying the approach to grants and shifted the focus from small scale community grants to larger State and Federal Government programs as well as philanthropic opportunities. I enjoyed working across a wide spectrum of projects from youth-led to multicultural and environmental.I have extensive experience in research which I gained through the course of my PhD and have noted success in publishing academic articles and presenting at international conferences.
