I am an Attorney at Young, Minney, & Corr advocating for education on behalf of our clients. Prior to joining Young, Minney, and Corr, I served as the Executive Director of a charter school in northern California. I have a 15+ year track record in implementing large-scale ambitious program initiatives at schools, universities, and military organizations—all in the name of driving change, creating a measurable impact, and improving the student experience. I built strong relationships with my team, key stakeholders, partners, and senior leadership, based on open and clear communication. I excel at mobilizing people at all levels of the organization and ensuring everyone is doing their part in moving the needle toward our goals. As a team leader, I prioritize each individual’s key skills, and foster a collaborative working environment. Finally, I am a creative problem solver who is adept at analyzing data and developing strategies that improve an organization’s systems, processes, and policies. I am passionate about leaving an organization better than when I found it, and I work tirelessly to create positive change in the community. Below are some of my most pivotal career accomplishments:-I directed the school’s transformation from a public Waldorf school on the verge of closing into a viable, successful charter school. Through my efforts, the school tripled in both enrollment and revenue within 10 years; now it’s in the State’s top 20% of schools in terms of academic performance. -I spearheaded a project to build a new school campus on a public university’s property, advocating to receive approval for leasing land from the chancellor’s office, reviewing and approving contracts, working with legal counsel, and collaborating with key stakeholders to create and execute the vision for the project, from inception to financing and permitting. - I introduced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at the Monterey Bay Charter School, through drafting a board resolution, creating a roadmap, and forming an engaged task force. These efforts generated tangible change in the organization’s policies, curriculum, training, and diversity. Key Strengths: Leadership | Project & Program Management | Strategic Planning | Advocacy & Negotiation | Team Management | Change Management | Process Improvement | Communication | Collaboration | Problem Solving | DEI
