I began as a team member in 2012. I was approached after a year of working there to be promoted into management. I have now been managing for almost 2 years. During my shift, I run the floor by delegating tasks, making sure all areas of the restaurant are running smoothly, giving out breaks, resolving customer issues, and helping the team members get their orders together. My daily tasks include counting money and assigning cash registers, going to the bank, counting inventory, reviewing daily inventory and financial reports, corresponding with my area manager to give sales and labor percentages at 2 and 7 p.m., answering the phone; and completing food safety requirements throughout the shift by temping the products, checking time tags (expiration dates), and making sure all hot and cold equipment is holding at the correct temperature. Other duties I complete occasionally are working at other stores, interviewing/hiring, completing weekly inventory, and making store orders for food, cleaning products, and other supplies.

During my internship, I assisted two personal injury lawyers. My daily tasks included correspondence with clients, medical facilities, and insurance companies; sorting and organizing incoming mail; filling documents electronically within the computer and also in a hard-copy binder; answering the phone; completing research needed for current cases; and, creating new case files when we obtained new clients. I also was able to help close many cases files by going through the documents and keeping what was needed to put in storage and shredding what was unnessacary to keep. Throughout my internship I was made more familiar of HIPPA laws and maintaining confidentiality of our clients.
