I worked in a variety of state juvenile facility, including overnight holding or short-term facilities, various treatment facility, specialized camps, day treatment, and moderate care facilities. I supervise individuals who have been arrested and are being who have been convicted of a crime or misconduct. Ensuring the safety and security of the incarcerated minors is the main function of service coordinator. I must deal with emergencies while upholding the facility’s rules for offender rehabilitation and treatment programs. I possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.Established and enforced clear goals to keep employees working collaboratively.Complied with company policies, objectives and communication goals.Inspected incoming supplies to conform with materials specifications and quality standards.Monitored equipment, checked supplies and coordinated manpower to meet expected demand.Resolved customer complaints and adjusted policies to meet changing needs.Promoted employee safety awareness resulting in zero injuries.Provided ongoing training to address staff needs.Realigned workflows with changing business demands by evaluating processes and employee strengths I oversee the youth housed at the facility and during any necessary transportation, provide assistance with therapy or counseling sessions, and dispense medications or other treatments. Incarcerated juvenile offenders may be violent or disturbed. As a result, service coordinator must possess sound judgment, have the ability to make quick, appropriate decisions to calmly handle a variety of situations, including escape or suicide attempts, fires, fights among youth, and population riots. Work settings are varied. A typical work day can be inside of an offices; or may be stationed at one at another facility or have responsibilities at several. A varied of job duties may be located out into the community which requires service to visit the homes of parents or prospective guardians.
