Senior Programs Officer working on a mixed Income Tax and GST/HST compliance program team. Responsibilities include:- developing and delivering training to field staff- determining policies and procedures as project lead for audit program- working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging and align priorities to aid in the protection of the tax base- support senior management through research of current and possible risk areas, presentations, reporting, and liaising with field staff across the country- analyze results and report to senior management based on findings- interpret data to determine trends and gaps within the population; use findings to brief senior management and make suggestions for improvement - Preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting procedural standards.

Review of taxpayer returns and GST/HST registrant returns, assisting in the compliance of the Income Tax and Excise Tax Acts, meeting with accountants and representatives to discuss compliance issues identified, outreach initiatives to educate local registrants
