Interim Nurse Manager: Provide feedback and mentorship, evaluate the performance of staff nurses, provide resources for staff professional development.Perform preoperative and postoperative nursing care for adults and children 6 months and older with surgeries encompassing 15 surgical specialties to include ophthalmology, orthopedic, general surgery, oral surgery, ENT, urology, dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecology, and plastics.Charge duties: oversee 15 RNs/LVNs and 5 CNAs, delegate nursing assignments, manage patient flow.Precept new hires and students to the unit, teach and evaluate assessment, planning, and intervention skills as well as clinical skills i.e. IV placement, extubation.Assist Urgent Care Unit as needed.Additional: Unit scheduler, Unit Practice Council Chair, Peer Review Coordinator, In-Service Coordinator.
